Sven Kreiss and I just wrote a little utility for Mac OS X that let's you type latex like this H\rightarrow\tau^+\tau^-, then select it, hit a shortcut, and have it replaced with H→τ⁺τ⁻. That's unicode, not PDF from running latex. So that means you can use it in your keynote, powerpoint, email, wiki pages, etc. without leaving the program you are using. It also means that it moves with the text and picks up all the font attributes (size, color, typeface). Check it out:
